I hope this finds you all safe and well and staying indoors, except when taking exercise or shopping for essentials. I have enjoyed hearing about what some of the children have been up to this week, from rocket building to playing teacher!
Our school will remain open to the children of key workers right over the Easter period, including the bank holidays. Anything we can do to support parents working on the frontline, particularly in the NHS, we will.
We have tried to contact all families this week, regarding the eligibility for a supermarket voucher, if your child receives means tested free school meals. It was lovely to chat with those we did contact. We have not been able to make contact with some of you and if your child is eligible for a free school meal and you have not spoken with us, then please phone school next week or email me directly dtodd@ashley.s-tyneside.sch.uk

The next 2 weeks are officially Easter holiday time, so the staff will not be setting any additional activities during this period. I hope that during this time, you will continue to follow the Government guidelines, even though it is hard not to be able to see other family members, as this will keep us all safe and help the NHS.

Please take care and look after each other.

Mrs Todd
