The children from Reception to Y6 had the opportunity to listen to Elliot and Alex from the RNLI talk about water safety and what to do in an emergency. Some of the children also got dressed up!
This week the children in Year 1 have been learning about Australia. We have worked really hard and our knowledge of the country is outstanding. Some of the facts the children found out at home were brilliant, thank you. We have displayed them in the window which faces onto the Infant Yard – please have a look.
Here are some photos of the rocks the children made using Aboriginal Symbols.
We know Mrs Todd is excited for tomorrow as we are planning on making Anzac biscuits!

Thank you 🙂
Over the past few weeks the children in Year 1 have been using a book called ‘Dear Greenpeace’. They have learned about Blue Whales and if you watch the video clip you will see how you could care for a Blue Whale should you ever come across one!
The children discovered that Mrs Todd was on the look out for a new pet so they then wrote her some instructions on how to care for it: she is deciding whether to go for a Sloth or a dog!
Watch out next week for some more instructions on how to care for… who knows!!!
Thank you 🙂
Our friends from Openzone, based at The Word have been busy making videos for parents to help them keep their children safe whilst online. Please watch their first one – we think it is very good. 🙂
Today we say goodbye to Mrs Carol Bone who has worked at our school for 15 years.
We will all miss her very much and wish her lots of wonderful days of retirement. Enjoy 🙂
Thank you, 🙂
Please see the attached flyer about a new football team for girls and boys in Year 1.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused today. You will be glad to know that school will be open as usual tomorrow (Wednesday 23rd January).
