Who would have thought that a bit of wind would cause so much chaos? Just ask the First Lego League Team who spent a bit of time collecting the milk bottles which were strewn around the school after being blown out of the bin!
Then after a lot of milk bottle collecting we had one final rehearsal for the First Lego League Final which took place today at The Openzone and St. Wilfrid’s.
The team represented our school brilliantly, they had three great rounds on the table operating the robot, did a presentation to some experts and finally took part in a teamwork challenge.
Overall Harton Puzzlers won and deservedly so, but every team that took part had clearly put a lot of time and effort into the competition as did we.
Our team did come away with a trophy which was for organising and ultimately winning a competition which many people from school took part in. The competition was to design a poster telling people about the blue recycling bins and the winner, who is in our Year 6, will have their poster printed onto the recycling wagons of South Tyneside. The lucky winner will be announced by the team tomorrow and the team will receive their medals and certificates from the competition.
Well done guys, we are all really proud of you… now to build an igloo!
