I hope this post finds everyone fit and well and enjoying this lovely sunshine, whilst staying safe.
Due to the fact we now have approximately 120 children accessing the school at the moment and all of my available teaching staff are teaching bubbles of children, we are not able to bring any other children back to school before September. We hope that in September we will ALL be able to return and we have already started to plan this and ensure that all of the children are well supported in this. This, of course, will depend upon Government guidance and I will continue to post updates during the summer break, as and when necessary.
Next week, there will be a post to inform you of which teacher your child will have from September. There will also be information sent out regarding a ‘visit week’ for new Nursery and Reception children, which will take place during the first week in September, so parents can meet their child’s teacher and spend some time with their child in the classroom.
We hope to hold information sessions, relevant to your child’s year group, during the autumn term, including Literacy and Maths workshops.
I have had some queries from both parents and staff regarding presents for children/teachers/teaching assistants. In light of our current ruling on nothing being brought in/taken home from school, I must insist that nothing is sent in for the staff or sent home for the children. It has been suggested to the staff that they could make a donation to one of the NHS charities in lieu of gifts to the children this year.
Please keep checking the website for further updates.
